~ Insight for the Seeing - A Vision for the Blind ~
Cick here for An In-Sight-Full Day flyer

There is a great need within our area of northern California for blind and visually impaired persons
to gain information and hands-on demonstrations of the latest assistive technology devices, methods and services, all in one location. We are aware that it is difficult for the blind and visually-impaired to connect with agencies, organizations, and support groups

An In-Sight-Full Day is the answer - an all day event that will provide much needed opportunities for blind and visually impaired persons from throughout the north state to meet with vendors, agencies and other persons who are dealing with eyesight issues.

An In-Sight-Full Day will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 on the grounds of the Redding Civic
Auditorium adjacent to the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay, along the beautiful Sacramento River.

The goal of the day is multi-faceted.  We hope to raise public awareness of services to the blind. This will be done in a fun-filled atmosphere of education, entertainment and inspiration to
the community and allow Lions to really ROAR!

The day will have guest speakers to educate, motivate and inspire all in attendance.
A fund-raising "Walk for the Blind" to benefit the Lions Eye Foundation of CA/NV, with “Senses Stops” along the way for blindfolded walkers to tune in with their other senses.

There will be representatives from sight related agencies, organizations and support groups. There will be an art show and live music by blind/visually impaired individuals who will showcase their talents and abilities.

Exhibitors will be showcasing the many Lions sight related and other programs and projects that Lions do locally and worldwide.

Food booths will be provided by our District Lions Clubs.  If you dare, you can "dine in the dark, that is, BLINDFOLDED!

This is a Lions District 4-C1 project as well as Lions 4-C1 District Governor Larry Marcum's signature project.  It involves all, or nearly all, of the District's 46 clubs and the members of their respective communities who will benefit from "An In-Sight-Full Day.

There are several sub-committees which could use your assistance.  Use the "Contact Us" tab for more information.

Each supporter donation of $100 will give you or your club a beautuful embroidered patch for you vest, club banner or just as a keepsake. If you are not a Lion, you will know that you helped to change the life of a blind or visually impaired person.

Please contact us at the above tab for more information. Thank you.
